Fountain City Art Exhibit 2018

So surprised and honored to have my drawing Latoya win Best of Show AND Peoples Choice Award in the local Fountain City Art Exhibit. My oil Portrait Amy won Honorable mention!  Thanks to those great artist there for the opportunity to enter my pieces.

Here is examples of a drawing that I complete of Amy and then transferred to canvas panel. I then did a black and white grisaille before glazing and completing the portrait with color.

Realizing how difficult it is to realistically turn the form and knowing how long I have wrestled with it, I am aware that many artists and art students also find turning the form to be a cumbersome and challenging task. 

Understanding the principles behind the Munsell color notation system helps you as an artist to see and mix paints. It is a helpful tool for your art.
